With finite budgets, it is especially important that schools are energy efficient.
Corrigenda contacted Dextra Lighting, on behalf of Shottermill School, to replace old inefficient luminaires within its buildings with more efficient LED luminaires.
Shottermill is a successful school, providing a very happy, caring and stimulating environment for its pupils, who achieve at an outstanding level, something that was recognised in its recent OFSTED inspection.

The school prides itself on promoting a culture of learning and encouragement for children in a great environment. It’s well organised and creative curriculum was recently praised by a Surrey Advisor for motivating pupils in school. The Arts play a central role in the life of the school and helps them to nurture resilience and a love of learning.
The school buildings are spacious, and the school also has a swimming pool, tennis courts, a sports field. It has a new Arts Studio which incorporates rooms for dance and drama, art and music.

Although Dextra Lighting has worked with many schools before, this project was unique due to the rapid response by Dextra to the requirements.
Working with contractor Corrigenda, Dextra responded quickly by surveying the day after initial enquiry, only to be told a competitor was favourite to win the work. Despite this, Dextra’s quality of product and customer service won them the order and they designed and delivered the whole project within just ten days.
