Dextra has previously worked with the Contractors MCBS at Potters Five Lakes in Essex. Here at Hopton-On-Sea we along with MCBS we were asked to highlight potential areas to give energy and maintenance savings by changing existing tube fittings with newer LED fittings. Several areas were highlighted as potential areas to gain savings including the Gallery Restaurant, Pop in Shop, Showcase arena, Office, Show stage, corridors, and The International Bowls Arena.

Projected energy saving calculations were provided for all areas and installed. A Recta-Control wireless solution was suggested and installed in the International Bowls Arena allowing for scenes to be set up to turn fittings off or dim down to give further savings and more flexibility in the area when different light levels are required. The solution was set at 1000Lux for the bowling area for the TV cameras during the world championship competition days with the seating areas reduced, local competitions are set at 500Lux, and training sessions can be 300Lux, the system allows for complete flexibility and user control.
