Dextra Lighting was approached by long standing client Gilks of Nantwich who, working very closely with NSCG, were asked to complete a full site survey to obtain existing positions and fitting types onsite and to provide LED alternatives.
Energy and carbon savings were a project requisite, as was being able to install luminaires within the existing fabric of the building and where possible, update and inspire with the use of LED to create inviting yet more efficient spaces.

Dextra were able to offer the solutions due to its extensive product range and some bespoke solutions. The Main Campus consisted of numerous recessed modulars, down lighters and bidirectional suspended continuous run luminaires. Aesthetics were enhanced in the auditorium and board room areas. The Gordon Banks Sports Centre had multiple facilities where Dextra were able to specify alternative lighting to achieve the energy and carbon reductions and improve aesthetics for both guests and employees. The Skills and Technology Centre comprises of numerous well-maintained workshop and study spaces where Dextra had to ensure that excellent light levels were maintained along with the specification of suitable luminaires for an ingress environment.

Dextra and Gilks were able to work within a quick turnaround time through the different phases of the project as term times had to be factored in to the work schedule to avoid disruption to the college and students.
The project is now complete, delivering 60% energy savings against the old lighting across the multiple buildings.
