Lilleshall is one of the UK`s National Sports Centres, providing world class sporting facilities for individuals, the local community and some of the country`s leading sportsmen and women.
Its facilities are unrivalled. It provides a variety of courts, pitches, gyms and a sports hall as well as a hotel and conference and events space.
It is also home to some of the top world-class athletes, sports teams, and visiting squads and associations from abroad. The UK Sports Institute (UKSI) at Lilleshall delivers a range of performance impacting sport science, sport medicine, technology and engineering solutions to Olympic and Paralympic sports along with a select number of non-Olympic sports.
The site also has a range of sports sessions available to the local community.
On this project, Dextra worked with contractor Barlows Electrical to help the client who required new lighting due to the old controls system not working adequately. Lilleshall also wanted to save energy at the same time as improving lighting levels.
Our Prosport fitting, with the addition of wireless technology, is exactly what the centre was looking for. This not only offered a shift from traditional light sources to LED but it also allows more control and improved energy savings through features such as occupancy control.

Overview: The Prosport is made with a steel housing, injection moulded polycarbonate end caps and a clear polycarbonate diffuser ensuring the ability to withstand ball strikes from most sports.
