Verwood Hub is the hub of fitness, events and activities in Verwood, Dorset.
The venue offers live music, theatre, arts, conferences and workshops, children’s activities, community based projects as well as a full digital, 7.1 surround sound cinema showing the latest movies. In addition to this, its leisure facilities include a gym with the latest technogym equipment, exercise fitness classes, studios, 3G football pitches, sports hall, 2 cafes, free parking and free Wifi.
Dorset Council wanted to replace existing fluorescent and cheap LEDs at Verwood Hub to improve efficiency and performance.
Working with Dorset Council and contractor Davison Electrical, Dextra supplied a number of different luminaires to help with aesthetics, performance and efficiency throughout the building, including the smaller rooms as well as the larger communal areas.
THE PRODUCTS
RUBIX SURFACE LINEAR
To further enhance the Rubix range, the Rubix Surface Linear is now available for both suspended installation and direct mounting to a wide range of ceiling types both solid and suspended.
A total of 39 were installed in the dance studio and halls.

RUBIX WALL
Complementing our Rubix recessed and suspended ranges, the Rubix Wall offers a visually similar solution for areas where ceiling installations are impractical.
A total of 20 were installed in the dance studio and halls. Specified to replace existing wall lights and and match the Rubix Surface Linear also installed in these rooms.

MOD EDGE UGR
The MOD Edge UGR compliments our recessed modular range with an edge lit modular luminaire with a housing depth of just 8.5mm.
A number of these were installed in the cafe, spin room, meeting rooms and offices.

AMENITY PLUS – CIRCULAR
The Amenity Plus Circular is available in lumen outputs ranging from 1500 to 3000 and is manufactured with an injection moulded polycarbonate housing and diffuser.
A number of these were installed in the back of stage areas.
